How to report abuse
Updated
If you see spam, phishing, malware, an attack or illegal content that comes from a server of Delhi Hosting, tell us.
Where to send it
Mail abuse@it-labs.in. Use this address only for abuse. For other questions, mail support@it-labs.in.
What to include
A good report lets us find the problem quickly. Please send:
- The IP address or the URL of the server or page. If you only have a domain name, send that too.
- The date and time of what you saw, with your time zone. We use this to find the right entries in the logs.
- Evidence: a screenshot, a log extract, or the full headers of a spam or phishing mail.
- A short description of what happened and why you think it is abuse.
Please do not edit the evidence. Do not forward illegal images to us. For child sexual abuse material, send the URL only and report it also to the authorities. You can use the national cyber crime portal, cybercrime.gov.in, in India.
How to get the full mail headers
- Gmail: open the mail, use the three-dot menu, then “Show original”.
- Outlook: open the message, then File, Properties, and copy the “Internet headers”.
- Thunderbird: View, Message Source.
Paste the complete text in your mail, or attach it as a text file.
How fast we act
- We act on abuse reports within 24 hours.
- Reports of child sexual abuse material or terror content are handled within 1 hour.
“Act” means we check the report and contact the customer. When the report is correct and the problem continues, we can suspend the service. We do not always send details about our customer to the person who reported, because of privacy. We tell you that we received the report and what happened where we can.
What counts as abuse
Spam, phishing, malware, scanning and attacks on other systems, copyright infringement and illegal content are all abuse. The full rules are in our acceptable use policy.
Problems with our own mail
If you got a spam mail that uses delhi-hosting.com in the sender address, send us the full headers too. Many spammers fake sender addresses, so the headers show whether the mail really came from us.
