Software quotes and payment
Updated
This guide explains how quotes and payment work for software projects. For the steps of a project, see “How a software project starts”.
The quote is free
We give a written quote after a short brief. It costs nothing and you are under no obligation. You can ask us questions about it, and you can ask for changes before you decide.
What the quote states
Every quote states:
- Scope. What we will build or do, and what is not included.
- Milestones. The parts in which the work is delivered and reviewed.
- Price. In Indian rupees, plus 18% GST.
- Payment schedule. When each payment is due.
- Ownership. You own the code once the work is paid for, and it lives in your repository. We sign an NDA on request.
If something you need is not in the quote, tell us before you accept it.
How you pay
Orders, invoices and payment are handled by IT Labs India, the company behind Delhi Hosting. For each payment in the schedule:
- You receive a GST invoice from IT Labs India by mail.
- The invoice has a payment link. You pay online through the link.
- We continue with the work as the quote describes.
There are no card payments on this website. See “GST invoice” for what is on the invoice, how to give your business name and GSTIN, and how to ask for a correction.
Changes in scope
Projects change as people see the software. That is normal. If you ask for something that is not in the quote, we do not do it silently. We write down what the change is, what it does to the milestones and the price, and we start only when you agree. The agreed change is added to the quote and invoiced in the same way.
Cancelling and refunds
For cancellation and refunds, see our cancellation and refund policy. The quote can state more for a particular project. We do not add anything to it here.
Questions
Ask before you accept. Use the software enquiry form or mail us, and we explain any line of the quote.
